The Mitta Education Trust (MET) was set up to help provide Vocational and Non-Vocational Education to single-parent and orphaned children in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in India.

MET’s mandate is to be primarily focused on education that provides “life skills that allow underprivileged youngsters to face life with confidence, resilience, tenacity, a positive mental frame and right human values”.

To achieve this, MET will innovate pedagogic approaches and measure the outcomes of multiple methodologies, which it will share on a pro bono basis with orphanages and childcare centers. MET’s role also mandates assistance with food, clothing, books and such material that will allow chosen youngsters to stay focused on their “Journey of Learning and Life Skills Development with Human Values”.
